Job Descriptions
Tessl is a Series A startup based in London, founded by Guy Podjarny. The company has raised over $100m in funding from investors including Index Ventures, Accel, GV and Boldstart. In June 2025, Tessl was ranked #2 in Sifted EU’s 2025 B2B SaaS Rising 100.
At Tessl, we believe AI will truly transform software development. AI Native Developers will define features, architecture and workflows in specs, not code, used to guide the work of AI agents. We are shaping this new paradigm, and building the pioneering platform for AI Native Development, and leading the dev movement and ecosystem that drive it.
As an early member of our team, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of how software is created and maintained. The easiest way to understand our vision is to visit ainativedev.io our developer community website, dedicated to AI Native Development, which is the go-to place for developers navigating the evolving AI-driven software landscape.
Overview of roleJoin our engineering team to build real-time AI Native workflows, tooling, and interfaces that will reshape how developers create and maintain software.
As a Software Engineer, you’ll be versatile and independent, excited to work with cutting-edge AI tools to build great products. We move quickly, but with purpose - balancing speed with collaboration and thoughtful execution. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and the wider Engineering team to bring AI Native development to life in a fast-paced, high-trust environment.
What you’ll doNo two days will be the same at Tessl! You’ll have a high level of autonomy and be able to make decisions based on what you believe will help you deliver the most success. Here’s an insight into just a few of the things you would be doing:
Design and implement new functionality that you discussed and reviewed with the product team
Spin up a proof of concept to showcase an innovative idea you’ve been thinking about
Rapidly prototype a new language integration for our code generation pipeline, then develop a plan for a scalable implementation.
Pair with a designer to fine-tune interactions in the UI, CLI or existing AI coding agents, making the user experience more intuitive and slick
Integrate a third-party service , e.g. for notifications, so we can focus our own cycles on Tessl’s core capabilities
Collaborate with other teams to plan an architecture that supports collaboration across the platform
Establish an end-to-end testing strategy to increase our confidence when deploying new features to production
Share your technical vision for a new product capability you’ll be leading with the wider engineering team for feedback and alignment
Proven experience (typically 5+ years or equivalent) as a Software Engineer . You care about code modularity, structure and aesthetics and have firsthand experience in how software is built across teams and environments
Equally comfortable contributing to a mature codebase with strict CI criteria or hacking up a quick prototype to prove/disprove an assumption
Proven experience leveraging the best AI coding tools and agents to accelerate and enhance your own work and efficiency
Comfortable with fast-paced, high-autonomy environments: you’ve ideally thrived in an early-stage startup before
You have demonstrated usage of AI tools in your day-to-day work , and be excited about experimenting, learning, and harnessing the potential of new AI tools and approaches to transform software engineering
Background in AI products or developer tools
Experience in rapid prototyping environments
Programming polyglot experienced in several languages of different paradigms (e.g.: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C or C++, Haskell, etc.)
Experience collaborating with AI researchers and bridging between research-focused and engineering-focused teams
Experience building & scaling REST APIs , particularly those conforming to JSON:API
Comfortable working on infrastructure (e.g., setting up CI pipelines, navigating Kubernetes)
If you have a personal or open-source project you’d like to share, we’d love to see it (GitHub links welcome!)
Office: Our brand new 10,000 sq. ft office is in the AI hub of Kings Cross, London. We have generous catering and have regular social events such as team lunches, drinks and more. We require all staff to be in our London HQ at least 3 days a week on our anchor days of Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Salary : We offer a competitive salary based on experience and skills, benchmarked against industry standards.
Benefits : 25 days holiday, health insurance, including dental and vision, which extends to partners and dependents, as well as a company-matched pension. We also provide a commuting stipend for those who live outside London, and a cycle to work scheme.
Application ProcessHere’s an outline of what you can expect during our interview process:
Introductory Call with one of our engineering leaders
A relaxed chat to learn about your background, interests, and career goals. We’ll also share more about the role, Tessl’s vision, and answer any questions you have.
Take-Home Exercise
You’ll receive a practical challenge based on real scenarios you might tackle at Tessl: an opportunity to showcase your approach to problem-solving on your own schedule.
On-site Technical Session
You’ll pair with two of our lead engineers to build on your take-home exercise. This session simulates working together on real problems and allows us to explore your technical expertise more deeply.
Culture Conversation with our People Lead
A two-way dialogue about our values, team dynamic, and your motivations. Feel free to ask about life at Tessl, growth opportunities, or anything else you’re curious about.
Leadership Discussion with Maurilio (Head of Engineering), and potentially Guy Podjarny (CEO) or Ben Galbraith (Head of Product)
Our final stage focuses on strategic alignment and long-term vision. You’ll learn more about Tessl’s roadmap and learn more about how you could contribute to our mission.
Throughout the process, if you have any specific requirements or need adjustments, please let us know: we’re happy to accommodate.
We care deeply about the warm, inclusive environment we’re building at Tessl and we value diversity – we welcome applications from those typically underrepresented in tech. If you like the sound of this role but are not totally sure whether you’re the right person, do apply anyway!

Job Descriptions
Our mission is to radically accelerate the pace of software development. Meticulous is profitable and 10x’ing annual recurring revenue every 12 months.
We’ve brought together a small team of some of the most talented engineers in the world. This has allowed us to build a technology that fully autonomously and exhaustively tests frontend codebases.
Such a capability has never existed before, and no other company is even close to building such a capability — it’s built on the back of a range of novel technologies and research (hint: the core itself doesn't use transformers or LLMs, but something more novel).
As a result the demand for the product has been immense. In addition to being one of the fastest growing companies, customers like Dropbox, Wiz, Lattice are often paying more for Meticulous than any other vendor or software product - and then spontaneously referring us to other companies.
We believe that autonomous and exhaustive testing is the missing piece in unlocking the full potential of code generation, and automating the majority of software development.
We are a team of six onsite in London. We believe in building a small but extremely talented team.
If this sounds interesting, please apply to this job posting here.
What you may work on:
Build a distributed system to concurrently replay thousands of sessions, such that a developer gets a result in seconds.
Integrate Meticulous into the inner loop of agentic code generation, to produce a coding agent far beyond anything that exists today - by giving it a feedback loop to understand the exhaustive impact of every change it makes and iterate against; while also allowing it to understand the full runtime behaviour of the code it’s editing and space of data and edge cases it may operate over.
Derive algorithms to detect sessions that cover differing code paths and edge cases, and ignore sessions that are too similar.
What you get from working here:
World-class compensation, exceeding top technology companies and startups.
Work with exceptional colleagues to solve novel and exceedingly difficult problems and change the way the world develops software. Work with some of the very best engineers who were previously at Uber, Google, Dropbox, GitHub, Meta and Palantir, including previously leading 100+ engineer organisations at these companies.
Expand your network - Guillermo Rauch (founder of Vercel), Jason Warner (CTO of GitHub), Calvin French-Owen (founder of Segment), Jared Friedman (YC partner and founder of Scribd), Scott Belsky (CPO of Adobe), Arash Ferdowsi (founder of Dropbox) and many others are all personal investors in Meticulous. We can connect you with anyone in the technology world if there is a commercial reason for doing so.
