The Electrically bias Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer role is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Engineer to join our team of 24 engineers and be part of an exciting period of change and business growth. We are looking to introduce cutting edge technology into our existing factory but also have plans in place to build a new world class regenerative food manufacturing factory to enhance our current operation. We are looking for a qualified Engineer who would like to join us in this new chapter.

The role will involve continuous improvement and you will be responsible for the planned maintenance, repair and performance improvement of the manufacturing equipment.
This role is a permanent night shift, working Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday nights.

Responsibilities:
Ensure all site assets are maintained to a high standard and meet sites requirements and are always available.
To ensure optimum performance of the manufacturing plants and equipment at best value cost and effective use of resource.
Execute planned and unplanned maintenance activities to agreed standards, ensuring safe working at all times.
Positively affect plant reliability through practical intervention on improvement activities, maintenance procedures and on plant stoppages
Ensure a robust and clearly communicated safe system of work is applied for all activities that you undertake - properly risk assessed.
To deliver on relevant Engineering Key Performance Indicators
Contribute to the development of existing and new standards for key items of equipment and facilities.
To ensure engineering stock control on all parts used - booked out and accounted for correctly within the required systems.
Coach, train and give understanding to production colleagues to achieve continual improvements in equipment knowledge/performance.
Act with integrity always to build a culture of professional engineering and proactive equipment-focussed continuous improvement skills.
To learn about the installation, set up and maintenance of new equipment to ensure performance is optimised and that learnings are shared with colleagues in the wider Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and take a pro-active role in the continuing improvements in Engineering safety standards.
Ability to carry out complex fault finding and robust countermeasure implementation
Ability to identify and implement continuous improvement ideas to improve operational performance & sustainability.
To be an agent for change, being prepared to attend training / learning opportunities to learn about new technology and innovation in the food manufacturing industry.
Ensure a high level of efficiency through excellent communications with colleagues in Engineering and Manufacturing
Ensure all food safety standards are met within the Engineering operations.

About you:
Essential:
Recognised Electrical Maintenance Engineering experience & Qualification at NVQ Level 3 or above
Good understanding of Health & Safety Regulations, RA, LOTOTO, PUWER
Recognised experience in Mechanical & Electrical Fault finding with and without drawings
A working knowledge of PLC , HMI systems, and servo drives
Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings
Basic Health & Safety qualifications and/or able to demonstrate equivalent experience, IOSH
Attention to detail CMMS systems experience
Collaborative approach to team-working GMP, Inventory management,
Strong improvement reporting and communication
