A quick look at the role
The role holder will be responsible for driving plant availability through ensuring all PPM's, reactive maintenance, engineering, and process improvements are carried out and implemented in a timely manner. The role holder will drive best practice on a daily basis through high engineering, compliance and H&S standards.
Your core responsibilities
- Provide high operational availability, and an efficient breakdown repair service. Diagnosis running faults and ensuring effective repairs and improvements are conducted within minimum time scale.
- Develop and implement a programme of planned preventative maintenance and inspection to minimise downtime, provide records of recurrent faulting and develop engineered solutions to these issues.
- Carry out minor maintenance operations to plant and equipment.
- To liaise with external contractors on specific repairs/maintenance work.
- Keep abreast of changes to health & safety and environmental legislation and company policies to ensure defined standards and best practice are implemented.
Requirements

- 2 years' experience as Electrical or Mechanical Fitter (or position of similar responsibility ideally in a green waste/water treatment process plant or similar).
- Mechanical or/and Electrical bias and have NVQ level 3 qualifications or equivalent in an electrical discipline

We're looking for an experienced and motivated Facilities Services Delivery Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Facilities Services Programme Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and coaching a high-performing team of around 8-10 operatives across two geographical areas.
Your focus will be on ensuring the effective delivery of essential compliance programmes, including:
- Water Safety PPMs
- Fire Safety PPMs (including fire extinguishers)
- Appliance safety (including laundry equipment)
- Portable Appliance Testing (PAT)
- Asbestos reinspection
You'll also carry out pre- and post-work audits, ensure all compliance tasks are completed to a high standard, and manage jobs or aspects of jobs up to a value of £25K.

What we're looking for
We're seeking a confident and knowledgeable leader who can bring both technical expertise and strong people management skills. The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience managing compliance programmes (water and fire safety) in construction and/or social housing sectors.
- Strong knowledge of water safety and fire safety, including BS5839-6 and relevant regulations.
- Ability to identify and address defects, and to deliver compliance tasks accurately and on time.
- A customer-focused approach, with experience delivering services in partnership with multiple stakeholders.
- Understanding of relevant building, housing, H&S, and technical legislation.
- Proficiency in ICT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage teams and stakeholders at all levels.
Technical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an M&E discipline are desirable, as are BS5839-1 and Legionella Responsible Person qualifications (or the willingness to work towards them).

About the role
We are currently recruiting for a multi-skilled or electrically biased Maintenance Technicians to the join the Engineering Team at our Portbury production facility in Bristol. The facility is a dried blending and mixing production facility where we create flavour blends for some of the world's best loved brands, 100's of tonnes of product are precisely measured, mixed and packaged every week.
This is a permanent position, with a 3 or 4 shift pattern – AM/PM/Nights/Days
Key Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for:
- Complying with the health and safety policy and regulations.
- Resolving breakdowns, carryout PM’s and work on project / improvement works with a view to minimizing production downtime.
- Carrying out risk assessments with the relevant people and put controls in place to minimise the risk to acceptable levels where reasonably practicable.
- Lock off any dangerous machinery immediately/ or repair and notify.
- Actively seek to undertake PMs on offline machinery where time allows.
- Fully complete PM sheets with all observations, jobs completed and recommendations and file with the Maintenance Planner, whilst always looking at ways of improving to PMs.
- Actively gain as much information as possible from production personnel regarding the fault on the machine to speed up the fault-finding process.
- Ensure engineering log and computer systems are fully filled in with all relevant information including PM numbers, all used parts, plant numbers, urgency of required parts, at the end of each shift.

Qualifications, skills and experience
To be successful in this role we are looking for the right behaviours and competencies as well as a proven track in a similar position. The ideal candidate will ideally have the following:
- HNC, City & Guilds or time served apprentice with appropriate electrical engineering qualifications.
- Experience within a similar role ideally gained within a food manufacturing environment, if not food, experience within any manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Electrically or biased, or multi-skilled. PLC experience highly desirable.
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems experience highly desirable
- Flexible approach with a positive 'can-do' attitude.
- Experience of SAP highly desirable.

About the role

About the role
Due to new production lines opening, we currently have a vacancy for Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers, working a rotating 12-hour shift pattern across days, nights and weekends to support planned and reactive maintenance across our Coleraine manufacturing site.
