Who are you?

The Candidate will be expected to have:

  • Experience of undertaking market analysis and traffic forecasts in an aviation context.

  • Good working knowledge of the aviation industry, in particular airline business models and strategy.

  • Demonstrable technical skills in analysis and modelling, especially ability to develop analysis / models at the right level of detail for the specific project needs.

  • “Self-starter” – ability to work (at times) with limited support.

The role will involve supporting the business plan (revenue and operating costs) forecasting element of consultancy projects, including interaction with clients. It includes research and analysis, developing and operating well structured, robust spreadsheet models and participation in client meetings.

Job Title: Senior Powerplant Engineer
Location: UK-Wales- Hybrid

A principally technical role within the Fleet Management Team. This role will involve the independent and competent management of multiple customer and internal projects that will include the following engine related activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as virtual powerplant manager for airline/lessor clients.
  • Fleet planning and maintenance cost forecasting.
  • Optimisation of removal planning and engine disposition.
  • Cost reduction initiative implementation.
  • Performance of Engine Health Monitoring (EHM) / Engine Condition Monitoring (ECM) tracking & reporting.
  • Full management of engine shop visit events (Inc. Work scope compilation, table inspection attendance, Repair oversight, material management & Post shop visit documentation and invoice review.
  • Negotiate service agreements with the OEM and MRO suppliers.
  • Review, analyse and negotiation of engine lease / sale / purchase contracts (From a technical perspective).
  • New engine selection support.
  • Ability to perform engine transition management including full records audit, engine physical inspection, borescope and MPA run overview.
  • Competent in drafting technical reports and management of technical documentation.
  • Active mentoring and support of Powerplant consultants / Engineers within the exiting team.
  • Support new business opportunities as required.
  • Attendance at OEM technical conferences.


Qualifications / Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in a powerplant focused role.
  • Degree qualified preferred.
  • Airline powerplant management experience preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge across several of the CFM, P&W, GE, IAE & RR products.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen required.
  • Computer literate and proficient with MS Office products.
  • Competent in project management to ensure timely completion of projects and management of multiple resources.
  • Self-motivated and quality driven.
  • Strong communicator at all levels.


Travel/Misc.

  • This role can require frequent and at times short notice international travel for extended periods of time.

Arrow's Global Components is looking for a Quality Manager, EMEA Aerospace & Defense. In this position, you will be supporting the development and sustain the Quality Management System in line with Customer requirements.

What will you be doing at Arrow GC?
  • You will be responsible for supporting/maintaining Quality Assurance System data
  • 8D responses: Customer liaison for all quality related issues/queries and lead root cause analysis (RCA) and assist in implementation of corrective/preventative actions for nonconformities with effective analytical and problem-solving resolution.
  • Completion of First Article Inspection Reports
  • Fault trend analysis
  • Creation of quality metrics and KPIs
  • Working closely with Sales teams, along with Distribution center personnel
  • Support new business activity working with Sales team
  • Participating in Continuous Improvements projects as required
  • Ensure adherence to customer requirements, standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the QMS and recommend enhancements.
  • Prepare for and facilitate customer audits, document audit findings and oversee corrective and preventive actions.
  • Analyze processes to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure consistent quality.
  • Work with customers/suppliers directly in a courteous and professional manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet Customer and regulatory expectations
  • Generate reports on KPIs and quality metrics


What are we looking for?
  • You have minimum of 3 years experience in a Quality Management role, in the Aerospace & Defense industry
  • Experience and knowledge of AS9100/9120 standards and quality management principles
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace industry regulations and requirements
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as FMEA, SPC, CAPA, 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams
