What you’ll be doing

• Lead the development and implementation of a data-driven assurance framework, leveraging advanced analytics and visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to provide comprehensive insights into programme performance and risk.
• Conduct proactive, risk-based assurance reviews across all stages of the project lifecycle, identifying and escalating potential issues early to prevent delays and cost overruns.
• Conduct rigorous assurance reviews at each stage gate, producing concise executive summaries that highlight key findings, risks, and opportunities for improvement, ensuring programme/ project readiness for stage advancement and alignment with governance standards.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement, identifying and implementing best practices in assurance methodologies and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a high-performing team culture focused on quality assurance and risk mitigation.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of assurance templates, tools, and best practices, accessible to all programme teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to ensure alignment on assurance methodologies and reporting.

Skills and Experience

• Deep understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and assurance frameworks (e.g., ISO 9001, COBIT).
• Proven ability to lead and deliver complex assurance projects, managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of tailoring information to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical).
• Transformation skillset, with the ability to implement frameworks and approaches in an evolving portfolio environment.

The post of Senior Research Scientist is a senior role on the EMBRACE study led by Professor Josip Car. The post holder will design and co-lead a programme of complex intervention research focusing on physical activity during pregnancy.  The post holder will bring extensive relevant expertise and experience to the post.

There remain many gaps in evidence and unanswered research questions related to physical activity and exercise during pregnancy spanning physiological, psychological, social, and clinical domains.  This highlights the need for comprehensive interdisciplinary research to understand how to optimise physical activity recommendations. The Quality Assurance Officer will join the Institute of Psychology Psychiatry & Neuroscience, a leading centre for mental health and neuroscience research in Europe. It is a key role within Education and Support Team (EST).  Based at the Denmark Hill Campus the post holder will  work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to support a range of quality assurance processes.

This post will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of quality-related processes within the Faculty, including annual updates to programme information, supporting the programme and module approval and amendments process, accreditation, and the assessment agenda, providing specialist advice and support to both academic and professional services staff. The post holder will work with the QA Manager and key role-holders both within the Faculty and across the College to ensure processes are delivered both timely and effectively and in accordance with both Faculty and College priorities, requirements and policies.
