As an Infrastructure Architect you will contribute to this by utilising energy efficient hardware and designing solutions that reduce energy use such as the use of virtualisation and efficient data management techniques and by implementing green software engineering principles.
You will be responsible for the creation of design artefacts that enable the provision of Microsoft Windows Server solutions, both physical and virtual, using industry standard tooling and methodologies which vary in size and complexity. You will work closely with Solution Owners and Project Managers to ensure that solutions are defect free, in-line with approved designs and meet the customer requirements.
Your transferable skills and experience:
- Experience in producing high quality solutions and documentation using a structured approach for components with varying degrees of complexity.
- Demonstrable experience in the creation, or modification, of a variety of design artefacts (Architecture Overview Documents, High-Level Designs and Low-Level Designs) for Microsoft Windows Server solutions, both physical and virtual.
- Experience of steering solutions through several quality gates.
- The ability to produce, support and maintain work packages throughout the Customer Solution Lifecycle.
- Experience in requirements management and associated tooling.
- Experience of working on secure infrastructure solutions Including demonstrable experience of the design and implementation of security policies following the appropriate guidelines, experience in Secure by Design (SbD) advantageous.
- Experience creating and executing PowerShell scripts and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Demonstrable experience of the migration from ESXi to Hyper-V is advantageous.
- Experience of Terraform and/or Ansible and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy including Certification Authority role service within an enterprise environment along with experience in designing and deploying HyperV, SCCM, and MECM solutions.

Key Responsibilities
