- To provide support to the Customer & Community Team in relation to visitors and members of the public responsibilities
- To provide support to the wider Management Team in relation to STAR's duty to consult, lone working arrangements, manual handling, provision of personal protective equipment, premises management and monitoring and review of the Health & Safety Policy's effectiveness
- To manage the scheduling of safety inspections ensuring they are planned and undertaken and the results are recorded as per procedures

- To update and maintain the Risk Assessment Register
- To update and maintain vibrating hand tools register, record exposure rates and schedule occupational health assessment for those operating vibrating equipment

- Responsibility for ensuring the Health & Safety Law Poster is displayed in all work locations, and the information cited thereon, is accurate and up to date in relation to STAR's undertakings
- Work with both Human Resources and Communications to ensure all safety information is accessible to the workforce, taking account of language difficulties or disabilities
- Work with colleagues from across STAR Housing and third parties to ensure STAR meet all obligations. Co-ordinate a programme of in-depth, legally sound and supportive H&S audits across STAR Housing's operations and activities, including arranging third party audits, inspections and site visits where necessary and appropriate, and documenting any identified areas of non-conformance.
- Oversee the health and safety training matrix and work with the HR team to procure health and safety training for colleagues.
- Responsibility for the administration of the Accident & Incident System, ensuring all follow-on actions are documented and evidenced
- Effectively work with all health and safety consultants and advisors for STAR, ensuring effective use of advisors across the business and ensuring quality and value for money
- Support procurement activity across the business, to ensure that all work completed by external suppliers supports a strong culture of safety and compliance with all legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain sufficient knowledge and awareness of H&S related legislation, established good practice and procedures and regulatory changes to continue to provide high quality, assistance to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Ensure maintenance of all safety records across STAR Housing to meet all requirements and enable effective access and review of documents when necessary.

- Minimum 2 year of HGV experience : We're looking for drivers who are confident on UK roads and understand industry expectations.
- Clean license preferred: We accept up to 6 points, but no serious endorsements such as TT (disqualification), DR (drink driving), or IN (insurance offences).
- Fluency in English Language (preferred)
- UK road law knowledge: Understanding the Highway Code, rest break rules, and HGV-specific regulations.
- Right to work in the UK: You must have valid documents confirming your eligibility.
- Safety first – all drivers must pass pre-employment screening (drug and alcohol test, background check).
