- A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Care on the Credit and Qualifications Framework or the commitment and ability to attain the qualification within 1 year of appointment (subject to availability of training).
- An understanding of disability issues such as empowerment, choice and advocacy.
- The ability to contribute and effectively implement individual Management plans and Risk Assessments.
- A full UK Category B (Cars) driving licence to drive a leased Council vehicle to transport individuals regularly throughout the day. In order to undertake the post it is compulsory for the post holder to pass a driving assessment as determined by the insurance liabilities of the lease hire vehicle
