Are you a passionate Dermatology HCA professional looking for extra weekend work with fantastic pay? br>
You’ll be working alongside experienced professionals and under the expert guidance of our Clinical and Nurse Leads — all while making a real difference to patient care.
Assisting in all areas within Dermatology including Phototherapy, Minor Surgery, dermatology day care treatments including patch testing and Iontophoresis.
Will be trained to deliver Iontophoresis and assisting in Patch test clinic under the supervision of a registered nurse
To deliver topical treatments to patients attending day care unit under the supervision of registered nurse
To assist clinicians in Minor Surgery acting as scrub or assisting nurse. Will be prepared to undergone training for this.
To will be willing to be trained in skin camouflage clinic (according to service needs)

Overview
I The role of a Patient Care Assistant is to support the nursing and wider practice team in achieving the highest standards of care. The Patient Care Assistant role will involve working in a variety of areas within the practice to support the team. It will be necessary to accept instruction from a variety of people including Management, Veterinary Surgeons and Registered Veterinary Nurses. Working enthusiastically within the team you will help maintain a happy, efficient and effective working environment.

About the role:
The Patient Care Assistant role is one of the foundations of an outstanding veterinary practice, and as a PCA you will be involved in supporting our team of qualified RVNs and Vets to provide outstanding care to our patients.
Some of the duties will include:
- Nursing care to patients
- Assisting Vets and Nurses in restraining animals for treatment
- Cleaning, walking, and feeding of patients
