The role:
RedCloud Technology is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a team dedicated to building and scaling our platform and related services. Your team will work with a modern tech stack including technologies such as AWS, C# .net, React, and Node.js to solve complex challenges for our global marketplace. In this role, you will build a culture of technical excellence and collaboration, drive the delivery of exceptional software, and see the direct impact of your team's work.
You will guide your team through complex technical challenges to deliver robust and scalable solutions. You will foster an environment of ownership and accountability, guiding your team to deliver high-quality software predictably and efficiently. We are looking for a leader who is skilled in developing engineers, fostering collaboration, and building a strong partnership with product management.
Key Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the people on your team, providing mentorship, coaching, and timely, empathetic support. This includes supporting their career growth, managing performance, and bridging skill gaps to ensure the team has the right skills for the job.
- Guide your team to break down large projects into manageable deliverables and produce realistic forecasts. You will use metrics to monitor and communicate the team's progress and ensure they can deliver high-quality work consistently.
- You will guide your team to continuously improve how they work. Your goal is to find the most effective process for your team—one that focuses on outcomes over ceremony. You will use your understanding of agile principles to help the team adapt to new challenges, manage dependencies, and deliver valuable software to our customers.
- While not primarily a coding role, your deep understanding of the software development lifecycle is crucial. You will support your team in making key technical decisions, navigating design trade-offs, and ensuring the systems they build are scalable and high-quality.
- Build productive partnerships with Product Managers, designers, and other teams. You are responsible for clearly communicating your team's roadmap, providing timely updates, and managing expectations so your team can focus.
- You will identify headcount needs for your team and take an active role in planning, recruiting, and hiring new engineers.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience leading software engineering teams, whether as an Engineering Manager, a Tech Lead, or a senior engineer.
- A track record of successfully delivering complex, high-quality software projects.
- Demonstrable experience in people management, including performance management and career development.
- A solid understanding of agile delivery frameworks and experience in refining team processes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfort with using data and metrics to guide decision-making and report on team performance.
- Experience with cloud technologies, global systems, modern software architecture, and the application of AI in the development lifecycle (e.g. code assistants, automated reviews).
- A genuine interest in mentoring, coaching, and developing engineering talent

As we expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Engineering & Design Manager to lead our design team and shape the future of our products.
The Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will manage and develop a talented team of engineers, CAD designers, and administrators. Your mission: ensure world-class design standards, drive innovation in design for manufacture and installation, and deliver projects that meet stringent criteria for quality, cost, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, structure, and develop the design team to meet business growth needs.
- Drive standardisation, continuous improvement, and automation in design and calculation methods.
- Oversee the structural design of reinforced concrete and epoxy coated steel tanks to British Standards, Eurocodes, and international equivalents.
- Ensure timely, high-quality project delivery within budget.
- Liaise directly with clients to resolve detailed technical issues and represent the company with authority.
- Provide technical support to production, sales, and contracts teams.
- Monitor departmental performance and manage design resources effectively.
- Ensure compliance with internal QA/QC standards and third-party approvals.
- Champion innovation with solid modelling, computer analysis, in-house design systems, and BIM.
- Manage specialist subcontractors and coordinate with key suppliers.
- Maintain a safe, collaborative working environment.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Chartered (or working towards chartership) status.
- 2+ years of experience managing multi-disciplinary engineering design teams.
- Proven ability to lead structural and mechanical design across multiple disciplines and regions.
- Strong technical knowledge of reinforced concrete design, finite element analysis, and detailing.
- Experience with steel component manufacture drawings and BOM creation (desirable).
- Water industry or liquid retaining structure experience (desirable).
- Excellent planning, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A quality-focused, customer-first mindset with maturity in handling complex discussions.
- Enthusiasm for innovation, change, and building high-performance teams.

Your new role

- Resilience, self-sufficiency, and the ability to spin multiple plates
