This role leads a newly formed team of engineers and data specialists, guiding the platform from concept to production. The architect will establish modern engineering practices—including software development lifecycle standards, CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, etc.—within the data domain. They will also collaborate closely with product teams to embed analytics capabilities, define integration strategies, and enable data-driven product development across the different product and services offered by VSBS (Whitespace, Sequel Suite, Hub, Assistant, and others).
The platform will serve both internal and external stakeholders, supporting SaaS environments and enabling consistent, high-quality data analytics solutions across all products and services.
Key Responsibilities- Define the vision and architecture for a new, organization-wide Data Analytics Platform and Standard Data Layer (SDL) from the ground up.
- Lead the end-to-end development of the platform—from initial concept and design through implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
- Build and manage a cross-functional team of engineers and data specialists to deliver platform capabilities at scale.
- Establish and enforce engineering best practices for data platform development, including CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing, and modern software development lifecycles.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate analytics capabilities into products and services, ensuring alignment with platform standards.
- Define and implement data extraction, transformation, and analysis strategies that support both internal analytics and customer-facing insights.
