The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Media Planner to join one of our agency teams within WPP in Brighton. You will be responsible for developing effective media strategies and plans for our clients, ensuring their advertising messages reach the right audiences through the most impactful channels. This role requires analytical thinking, creativity, and a good understanding of the media landscape.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic media plans based on client objectives, target audience insights, and market research.
  • Research and analyse various media channels (traditional and digital) to identify the most effective placements.
  • Estimate media costs and negotiate rates with media vendors.
  • Prepare media briefs and work closely with buying teams.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations for optimisation.
  • Develop reports on media performance, reach, frequency, and ROI.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new media opportunities, and consumer behaviour.
  • Present media plans and recommendations to clients.
  • Work collaboratively with account management, creative, and analytics teams.
  • Manage media budgets effectively.
  • Utilise media planning software and tools.
  • Track competitor media activity.

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Media Planner or Assistant Media Planner, preferably within a media agency.
  • Understanding of various media channels (TV, Radio, Print, Digital, Social, OOH).
  • Experience using media planning tools and data sources (e.g., Nielsen, Comscore, TGI).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop strategic and creative media solutions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of media buying processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of digital media metrics and reporting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced agency environment.
