Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, process, and analyze complex energy market data (e.g., prices, volumes, generation output, demand).
- Develop and maintain forecasting models for energy demand, supply, and prices.
- Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and geopolitical events impacting energy markets.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing analysis and providing recommendations to stakeholders.
- Support energy trading activities through timely market analysis and insights.
- Analyze performance of generation assets and provide optimization recommendations.
- Contribute to strategic planning and decision-making based on market analysis.
- Utilize data analysis tools and software (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Excel).
- Collaborate with trading, generation, retail, and regulatory teams.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis as required to support business needs.
- Identify opportunities for improving data collection, analysis, and reporting processes.
- Stay updated on new technologies and methodologies in energy analysis.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of data and analysis.
- Communicate complex analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage databases and data visualization tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in data analysis or analytical roles, preferably within the energy sector.
- Understanding of energy markets, including electricity and gas (UK market knowledge is a plus).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Experience with statistical modeling and forecasting techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.

- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
