Full Job Description

Haleon is seeking a motivated and results-driven Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to join our team covering the Glasgow territory. You will be responsible for promoting Haleon's portfolio of healthcare products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, pharmacists, and nurses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote and sell Haleon's pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals within the assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare providers.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Plan and organise daily sales calls and visits efficiently.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information on products, including benefits, risks, and usage.
  • Organise and deliver presentations and educational events for healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
  • Attend conferences, exhibitions, and training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales calls and activities using CRM systems.
  • Comply with all relevant industry regulations and company policies.
  • Manage territory budget effectively.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the territory.
  • Provide feedback to the marketing and sales teams on market insights.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in other territories and departments.
  • Develop and implement a strategic territory business plan.
  • Handle product inquiries and objections professionally.
  • Ensure ethical sales practices are always followed.
  • Negotiate product placement and visibility where applicable (e.g., in pharmacies).
  • Stay informed about clinical studies and research related to products.
  • Report adverse events in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a science, pharmacy, business, or related field.
  • Previous sales experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and ability to work independently.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific information.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
  • Knowledge of the NHS structure and healthcare landscape in Scotland is a plus.
  • Understanding of ethical guidelines for pharmaceutical sales (e.g., ABPI Code).
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Resilience and ability to handle rejection.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • A scientific background or aptitude for learning medical information.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Experience with virtual selling techniques is a bonus.
