Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with store managers and relevant personnel within retail accounts.
- Promote and sell Tesco's FMCG products to existing and potential retail customers.
- Achieve sales targets and business objectives within the assigned territory.
- Negotiate product orders, promotional space, and display opportunities.
- Ensure products are stocked, priced correctly, and merchandising standards are met.
- Conduct regular store visits to check stock levels, product availability, and competitor activity.
- Identify new sales opportunities and expand product distribution.
- Provide product information and training to store staff where needed.
- Manage customer accounts and resolve any issues or queries.
- Collect market intelligence and report on trends and competitor activities.
- Plan and manage your sales route and call schedule effectively.
- Maintain accurate sales records and reports.
- Work closely with internal sales, marketing, and logistics teams.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations.
- Manage a sales budget and track expenses.
- Participate in sales meetings and training sessions.
- Analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Build brand advocacy at the store level.
- Contribute to the overall success of the sales team.
Qualifications:
- Previous sales experience, preferably within the FMCG or retail sector.
- Proven ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
- Results-driven with a focus on achieving sales targets.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales reporting tools is a plus.
- Full UK driving license is essential.
- Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Understanding of retail operations and merchandising is desirable.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).

- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in sales or business is a plus.
