Job Description:
Capita is seeking a driven and enthusiastic Recruitment Consultant to join our team in Portsmouth. In this dynamic role, you will manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships with both businesses and candidates. You will play a crucial role in connecting top talent with exciting opportunities across various sectors, contributing to the success of both our clients and our candidates' careers.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Identify and source suitable candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and networking.
  • Conduct candidate interviews and assessments.
  • Present suitable candidates to clients and manage the interview process.
  • Negotiate job offers and terms of employment.
  • Provide advice and guidance to both clients and candidates throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the applicant tracking system (ATS).
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly placement targets and revenue goals.
  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the sectors and roles you are recruiting for.
  • Write compelling job descriptions and advertisements.
  • Manage candidate pipelines effectively.
  • Provide excellent candidate care and ensure a positive candidate experience.
  • Build a strong personal brand within your niche.
  • Attend networking events and industry conferences (where appropriate).
  • Handle candidate and client queries professionally and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues within the team and wider business.
  • Participate in training and development sessions to enhance skills.
  • Adhere to all relevant legislation and ethical recruitment practices.
  • Prepare reports on recruitment activity and market insights.
  • Develop strategies for attracting passive candidates.
  • Understand client business needs and culture to ensure the right fit.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities.
  • Manage your own time and workload effectively.
  • Negotiate fees and contracts with clients.
  • Provide post-placement support to ensure candidate and client satisfaction.
  • Contribute positively to the team environment and culture.
  • Utilise CRM systems effectively to manage relationships.
  • Stay organised and manage multiple processes simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate resilience and a positive attitude.
  • Continuously seek feedback for improvement.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in recruitment or a sales-related role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong sales and business development abilities.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships.
  • Goal-oriented and target-driven mindset.
  • Organised with strong administrative skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment software or CRM systems (desirable).
  • Resilience and ability to handle pressure.
  • Knowledge of the local job market (desirable).
  • Degree level education is preferred but not essential.
