Audit Associate at PwC in Cardiff

PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers) is seeking an Audit Associate to join our assurance practice in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates or early-career professionals looking to build a career in audit within a leading global professional services firm. You will be involved in auditing financial statements for clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist audit teams in planning and executing audit engagements.
  • Perform audit procedures, including testing controls and substantive testing.
  • Gather and analyse financial data and documentation.
  • Prepare working papers and document audit findings.
  • Understand client businesses and their financial reporting processes.

Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Strong academic record.
  • Understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP knowledge is a plus).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Willingness to study for professional accounting qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA).
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.
  • Previous internship experience in audit or finance is beneficial.
